A For each reduction of 0.01% below the specified carbon maximum, an increase of 0.06% manganese above the specified maximum will be permitted up to a maximum of 1.35%.

B Unless otherwise specified by the purchaser, for each reduction of 0.01% below the specified carbon maximum, an increase of 0.06% manganese above the specified maximum will be permitted up to a maximum of 1.65%.

C These five elements combined shall not exceed 1%.

8. Heat Treatment
Hot-finished pipe need not be heat treated. Cold-drawn pipe shall be heat treated after the final cold draw pass at a temperature of 1200°F(650°C) or higher.

10. Additional Requirement for MWT Pipe
- For "MWT" pipe, a minimum of four wall thickness measurements 90 degress parts shall be made on each end of all pipe and the dimensional inspection record (OD, weight, wall thickness & length) per each pipe shall be included in material certification.
- Tolerance of wall thickness for "MWT" pipe: +5%~23%
- Each pipe shall be hydro-tested at the factory as per ASTM A530.
- Each pipe shall be ultrasonic tested.
